RARE GASES :: Neon

Description
Neon (Ne) is a colorless, odorless, nonflammable, inert gas.
 
Applications
Commonly known as a fill gas for colorful neon signs in outdoor advertising displays, neon's other uses include glow lamps as visual indicator devices, voltage regulation, and as a component in laser gas mixtures.
